The competitions and activities of the 2022 edition of the Verace Neapolitan Pizza Olympics listed below will all take place at the headquarters of the Verace Neapolitan Pizza Association, in Via Capodimonte 19/A - Naples.
OPENING CEREMONY
Monday 4th July
- 10:30 am Lighting of the Olympic flame
- 11:00 am Discovery of the celebratory work of the Verace Neapolitan Pizza and the Art of the Neapolitan Pizzaiuolo, intangible heritage of Humanity, created by Maestro Lello Esposito
COMPETITION PROGRAM and GALA EVENING
Sunday 3rd July:
- 3.00 pm Beginning of Olympic competitions in the Amateur category: preparation of the dough
Monday 4th July
- 11.00 am Professional Registration
- 12:00 am Amateur Competition: evaluation of competitors in the Vera Pizza Napoletana discipline
- 15:00 Beginning of Olympic competitions in the Professional category: preparation of the dough for the disciplines Vera Pizza Napoletana, Mastunicola, Pizza Fritta, Calzone Napoletano,
Tuesday 5th July
- 10:00 am Professionals Competition: evaluation of competitors discipline Verace Neapolitan Pizza, Pizza Fritta and Mastunicola
- 1.30 pm Professionals Competition: evaluation of competitors in the Calzone Napoletano discipline
- 16:00 Preparation of the dough for the "For Gourmet" discipline
Wednesday 6 July
- 10:00 am Professionals Competition: evaluation of competitors in the "For Gourmet" discipline
- 7.30 pm Gala dinner, Pizza with the Stars and final award ceremony
On the occasion of the Verace Neapolitan Pizza Olympics we suggest guests to park their car at the I.P.M. located in Viale Colli Aminei 27 where a shuttle will wait for them to take them to the AVPN headquarters in Via Capodimonte 19/A
